Eric was born and raised in Southern Maryland where he lived until he made the transition to College in 2007. Eric began playing drums at age 11 and was involved with several bands and worship teams throughout Southern Maryland. After graduating high school, Eric attended the College of Southern Maryland where he received an Associates Degree in 2007. Shortly after graduating from CSM, Eric transferred to Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA where he received a Bachelors in Professional Music in May 2010. Eric has several musical involvements in Southern California where he currently lives, gigs, and teaches.

Eric has performed for several churches in Maryland and was a part of the Tuesday Night Live and Free 2 Worship praise bands. TNL played up and down the East coast and performed for the Celebrate Jesus gathering in Maryland, opening for acts such as Michael English and Tammy Trent. While attending Berklee, Eric worked with many talented musicians and studied with several great teachers. Some groups Eric performed/recorded with included singer/songwriter Ashley Farrell, the Neo-Jazz Quartet, and Startank (Joel Darling, Ieva Berberian). Eric was also the in house session drummer for Keep the Edge Studios where he recorded tracks for Marcus Massey, Russ Alsobrook, Jenna Bollard, and KTES’ owners Keith Asack and Kim Pfluger.

Eric has had the privilege of studying with many great teachers which include, K.J. Baker, Ricardo Monzon, Bertram Lehmann, Steve Wilkes, Rick Considine, Mike Mangini, Tony “Thunder” Smith, Larry Finn, Bob Tamagni, Jamey Haddad, Jackie Santos, and Neal Smith.

Along with gigging, Eric is very proud and blessed to be working at the Music Factory in Costa Mesa, California. He is currently teaching drum lessons along side many other great players and teachers.
